Mt. Shasta Smart Meters, Oregon Public Utility Commission, Oregon Smart Meters, Pacific Power, SMART METER OPT-OUT IN OREGON, smart meters

August 14, 2018

There was a meeting this morning with the Oregon Public Utility Commission and Pacific Power about the smart meter rollout in Southern Oregon. Some of our local spokespersons were allowed to speak although originally we were told the public would NOT be allowed to speak.

The good news is that if you want to opt-out they have CANCELLED the upfront $137 fee.

More good news: If you opted-out and already paid $137 then you are supposed to get a refund. MAKE SURE YOU GET IT!

BUT, if you have already received a smart meter, it will cost $169 to have it removed and replaced with a non-transmitting, digital meter—which will be safer for your health, although maybe not, if you consider the possibility of it creating dirty electricity in your home.

Anyone can see that this is more manipulation by Pacific Power to shove this deadly and invasive technology into our lives.

There are likely to be further developments, but for now:
